ponderosa pine - juniper forest and either 6-38% agricultural land or up
to 6% of the hexagon area as towns and cities. The logistic regression
analysis showed positive or negative association with road density,
July precipitation (hex. med.), and-to a lesser degree-Douglas-fir -
w. hemlock - red cedar forest, number of land cover types, and fractal.
